Award event to recognise inspiring female business leaders
An award event organised by Bristol Women in Business is expected to recognise female leaders and businesses driving gender equality across the region
The inaugural award ceremony takes place March 2026 at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery.
The ceremony features ten categories including Organisation of the Year, Lifetime Achievement and Inspiring Young Woman, marking a significant moment for a city that has built a reputation for workplace equality since the Charter’s founding in 2019.
Women now hold senior roles across multiple sectors in Bristol, representing tangible progress in workplace gender balance.

The awards aim to recognise both the individuals behind that change and the organisations creating environments where diverse talent can advance.
Sandra Gordon, founding director of the Bristol Women in Business charter, said: “There is so much commitment and innovation across Bristol. These awards are about shining a light on the people and workplaces making a genuine difference.”
The event has secured backing from regional employers including YTL UK Group, Burges Salmon, Bristol Airport, S&W, Sprague Gibbons and ZiaBia, reflecting business commitment to workplace equality.
Alice Bretherton, chief people officer at Burges Salmon, said: “Supporting these awards reinforces the role inclusion plays in shaping stronger, more innovative workplaces across Bristol.”
The awards will present recognition across organisational and individual categories, highlighting achievements in sectors from construction to professional services.
The deadline for nominations is Friday.
