Bristol-based consultancy named New Woman Franchisor of the Year

By Charlie Watts  Tuesday Jun 6, 2023

A consultancy franchise which helps babies and their parents achieve better sleep has been named New Woman Franchisor of the Year.

Jenna Wilson and Fay Smith have won the award for their Bristol-based franchise, Little Dreams Consulting, in the NatWest Encouraging Women in Franchising Awards (EWiF) 2023.

Founded by ex-childcare solicitor Jenna Wilson while pregnant with her third child in 2016, former mental health specialist practitioner Fay Smith joined the team in 2019.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

With Little Dreams going from strength to strength, the business partners decided to franchise the firm in 2021, and it now also has offices in Devon, Cornwall, Bath, Swindon, Chelmsford, Colchester and Birmingham.

On winning, Jenna said: “This is one award that absolutely means the world to us. Because it not only recognises the success of our core business, but it tells us we’re doing a great job as a franchisor too – helping other women to follow in our footsteps as franchisees of Little Dreams Consulting.

“We put our heart and soul into supporting our network so that they too can change the lives of so many families struggling with the brutality of sleep deprivation.”

Helen Mansfield, managing director of EWiF, added: “Our awards celebrate the many incredible achievements of women like Jenna and Fay and the role they play in UK franchising.

“Each year, hundreds of entries showcase the diversity, talent and innovation that drives businesses such as Little Dreams Consulting forward. They are very worthy winners!”

Little Dreams has also been shortlisted for the Consumer Services StartUp of the Year category of the South West England StartUp Awards, with the winner to be announced at a ceremony at Propyard on June 15.
