‘Global Broadmead’ celebrates cultures, communities and indie businesses
Broadmead will become a celebration of global culture, creativity, international sport and community connections this June and July as Bristol BID launches Global Broadmead, the latest chapter in its ongoing Love Bristol, Love Broadmead campaign.
Building on earlier moments in the campaign including the Big Broadmead Spring Clean, Care & Repair Festival and Blossoming Broadmead, Global Broadmead will spotlight the international businesses, traders, artists and communities that have helped shape one of Bristol’s most vibrant and evolving city centre destinations.
The programme will bring together live events, performances, music, sport and cultural celebrations across Broadmead and Cabot Circus throughout June and July, creating welcoming spaces for people to come together, discover new cultures and celebrate Bristol’s diversity.

The city centre will also host International Make Music Day on June 21, with free performances across venues including Sparks Bristol, Bristol Beacon, Arnolfini and Bristol Cathedral, alongside street pop-ups.

Anna Farthing, interim head of place at Bristol BID, said: “Global Broadmead shines a light on the city centre as a place of connection for food, fashion, festivals, community activities and major sporting events.
“Since its’ inception as part of Bristol’s post-war reconstruction, Broadmead has been shaped by people from all over the world.
