Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Director
Rian Johnson
Certificate
12A
Running Time
152 mins

Episode VIII, if you’re counting, is helmed by Rian Johnson, who started out with the indie flick The Brothers Bloom and went on to write and direct that very inventive time travel romp, Looper. The story picks up immediately after the events of The Force Awakens, which, you’ll recall concluded with Rey (Daisy Ridley) encountering an elderly Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).

Other returning cast members include John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o and Andy Serkis. The late Carrie Fisher also makes her final screen appearance in this one, having finished shooting her part before she carked it in December 2016.
