If A Dog’s Purpose didn’t fulfil all your sentimental cinematic canine needs, you’ll be delighted to learn that this latest mutt movie is adapted from W. Bruce Cameron‘s follow-up novel.
Alas, perfectly named Lasse Hallstrom isn’t directing this one, as he’s handed the lead to cutesy animal flick veteran Charles Martin Smith, who gave us those Dolphin Tales. The story? A pooch named Bella (voiced by Bryce Dallas Howard) goes on a 400 mile walkies in search of her owner after they become separated. Yep, it’s The Incredible Journey without the cat.
