Earth: One Amazing Day

Director
Richard Dale, Peter Webber, Fan Lixin
Certificate
U
Running Time
95 mins

If you saw 2007’s Earth, you’ll know what to expect from this sequel: stunning BBC Natural History Unit footage repurposed by those Disneynature folks in feature film format to fit a simple, heavily anthropomorphised, family-friendly narrative that can be sold around the world.

The English-language narrator for this one is Robert Redford (the Chinese get Jackie Chan) and the official blurb informs us that it “spectacularly highlights how every day is filled with more unseen dramas and wonders than you can possibly imagine – until now!” Our tip: take earplugs and just wallow in those amazing images.
