Shameela Seedat‘s absorbing documentary charts the final year in office of South African anti-corruption champion Thuli Madonsela as she attempts to seek justice for ordinary people. After successfully challenging President Jacob Zuma for illegal use of state funds, she faces the biggest challenge of her career: investigating – in the face of protests, death threats and legal challenges – the alleged systematic takeover of government by a family in cahoots with the President.
This Afrika Eye screening will be followed by a panel discussion. The guest speaker is Dr. Foluke Adebisi of the University Of Bristol School Of Law
