Walk Like a Panther

Director
Dan Cadan
Certificate
12A
Running Time
108 mins

Sticking rigidly to the Full Monty-style Britcom template, this Yorkshire-set comedy from Guy Ritche’s former assistant Dan Cadan boasts one of those synopses that makes you feel as though you’ve already seen it a dozen times in different settings.

Anyway, it’s centred on a northern working men’s boozer that faces closure. Unless, of course, a lovable bunch of aging local 1980s wrestlers can be persuaded to strap on the bulging lycra for one last time. Expect dreadful period pop on the soundtrack and game performances by the likes of Stephen Graham, Jason Flemyng, Stephen Tompkinson, I, Daniel Blake star Dave Johns and, er, Julian Sands (remember him?).
