These are Meg’s top-five Bristol favourites:

Snobby’s

Snobby’s is my favourite place to drink wine. The wine is excellent. Great drinks, great drinks. Just top-notch vibes.”

The Shakespeare

“I run the pub quiz at the Shakespeare every other Monday. I ran it online during lockdown. It’s not your typical pub quiz. There’s always a game of some kind, I try to make the sport round accessible and you may be expected to eat weird food and drink concoctions. The Shakespeare also does a really good roast and the staff are really nice.”

Watershed

“My degree was in filmmaking and I had my degree show at the Watershed. After graduating I then volunteered in the Pervasive Media Studio. I now go and watch films there most Wednesdays.”

Matina

“In my humble opinion, Matina in St Nick’s Market have created the greatest wrap on Earth. The foundation of a good wrap is the bread and their bread is second to none. Then it’s the combination of salad, meat and sauce. All for £6. So good.”

Pinkmans

“I just love their pains au chocolat. Pinkmans delivered during lockdown to my house and I froze them. Their coffee is also really good.”
