Tier promise more scooters are coming to Bristol
Tier have faced a barrage of criticism since replacing Voi as the provider of hire e-scooters in Bristol.
From lack of availability to problems with the kickstand, it has not been a smooth ride.
But in an email to users on Monday, Tier promise that they “are focused on getting as many scooters as possible out on the street”.
They say they are “working hard” to fix the kickstand issue, with the noise of metal dragging along the ground becoming a familiar sound across Bristol in recent weeks.
Tier also pledge to increase their maximum fleet size by 1000 by the end of December, with the company originally promising 2,000 scooters would be deployed originally rising to 4,000 over time; meaning that by the end of the year there could be 5,000 turquoise-coloured Tiers in Bristol.

“We wanted to share an update on fleet availability in Bristol,” says the email sent by Tier.
“The team has been working hard to fix the ongoing kickstand issue and we are pleased to share that we have been able to redeploy 500 e-scooters with upgraded parts.
“We know that you’ve come to rely on TIER scooters to get you where you need to go, whether it’s to work, university, or just out and about exploring the city.
“That’s why we are focused on getting as many scooters as possible out on the street. Each day moving forwards we’ll have more scooters available for you to ride and we’ll keep you updated on our progress.
“We are also working on bringing e-bikes to Bristol, as well as increasing the maximum fleet size by 1,000 by the end of the year.
“So take a TIER and explore Bristol on two wheels! Thank you for being a TIER rider!”
