Great George St shut after serious assault

Five people have been arrested after an incident which caused police to close a street off Park Street this morning.

A “serious assault” took place in the early hours of today, leaving a man with serious but not life-threatening injuries, police said.

Great George Street was cordoned off this morning while officers made inquiries.
