New Park Street venue to become pop-up bar before opening

By Bristol24/7  Tuesday Feb 13, 2018

Opening later this month on Park Street, The Florist is promising to be Bristol’s “most insta-friendly jaunt”.

The name is a giveaway, with the three-storey network of rooms formerly occupied by Goldbrick House due to be decked in an abundance of flowers from Les Fleurs on Colston Street.

Floristry is also said to inspire both the drinks and food menu, which includes cocktails infused with herbal twists from the garden, or beetroot and apple pearl barley risotto.

A taste of The Florist is appearing in pop-up form this week at the mobile Bouquet Bar – a flower-covered cocktail car serving garden-inspired drinks.

The Bouquet Bar will be appearing at the University of Bristol on February 15, UWE Bristol on February 16 and in Broadmead on February 17, serving up the likes of juniper, mango and passionfruit gin and tonics to non-alcoholic seedlip creations.

The Florist general manager Matt Tomkins said: “We are so excited to be introducing ourselves to Bristolians ahead of our official opening later this month.

“Our combination of fragrant cocktails and tempting food will deliver something quite unique to the city. We are very much looking forward to immersing ourselves in local life.”

The Florist will be open daily from Monday, February 26, with DJs every night and saxophonists and percussionists playing from Thursday to Sunday evenings.
