Former BrewDog bar reopens under new owners
Black tape has been placed over the BrewDog sign and logos outside its former bar on Baldwin Street.
Just weeks after the controversial company was purchased by new owners, the bar has reopened and is attempting to distance itself as far as possible from its previous custodians.
Independent bar group Saviour Bars now occupies the site close to Bristol Bridge.

Saviour Bars – which already has three bars in Battersea, Wokingham and Horsham – is taking on the Baldwin Street premises as well as two other former BrewDog premises in Bath and Basingstoke.
Saviour Bars founder, Rhys Oldfield, said: “When three well-located sites become available simultaneously in cities where we have been looking to grow, you move.
“These are good spaces in strong locations and they deserve an independent operator who will invest in them properly. That is what Saviour does.
“We are looking forward to bringing what we do to Basingstoke, Bath and Bristol.”

Oldfield co-founded Be At One in Battersea in 1998 and grew his business to 35 sites in the UK before selling it to Stonegate Group in 2018.
Saviour Bars marks Oldfield’s return to independent bar operation, promising “a deliberate focus on quality drinks, genuine hospitality and site-specific character”.
