FIKA: Bristol’s newest independent coffee and sandwich spot
A new coffee and homemade sandwich shop is coming to the city centre.
FIKA is an independent and family-run cafe and takeaway which is due to open in April in a former Chinese restaurant on Broad Quay.
The name FIKA is inspired by the Swedish tradition of slowing down, connecting with others and enjoying good food and coffee – a philosophy which its owners share.

Husband-and-wife duo Phanphilat ‘Pampi’ Khamluean and Peyman Karami say that FIKA promises more than just a quick bite: it’s about pausing, sharing and savouring.
Peyman and Pampi, both passionate food lovers with deep roots in hospitality and catering, promise to bring their unique spin to Bristol’s food scene with a menu built around focaccia-loaded sandwiches made fresh to order every single day.
You can expect soft, olive oil-kissed focaccia packed with bold, vibrant flavours and premium fillings.

The owners of FIKA are also behind En Steak in Birmingham and Hereford
“We wanted to create a space where people could slow down, connect, and enjoy food that’s made with care,” said Peyman.
“We’re so excited to share FIKA with Bristol.”
