Bakery returns to neighbourhood ‘with a fresh lease of life’
The team behind a new Easton bakery say its ethos is to offer “the everyday breads, pastries and drinks that make a home feel like home”.
Staple Bakery on St Mark’s Road has opened in what was previously East Bristol Bakery, with co-owner Bahram Ehsas also running Chai Guy a few doors down.
On the shelves on Thursday morning was Triple Co Roast coffee, Living Things sodas, the Butternut Co spreads and sourdough loaves.
The pastry selection included all the classics plus pistachio pan au chocolate.

The new bakery uses Matthews Cotswold Flour for bread and specially imported French flour for pastries
Writing on Instagram, the team said: “Our ambition has always been to bring the bakery back to Easton with a fresh lease of life, and a new mission to not only be the heart of the community but to give back where we can – we hope to be able to achieve this over time and hope to see all you gluten lovers again.”
Staple Bakery is open from 8am until 3pm from Wednesday to Sunday.
