Although very much a bar (rather than pub), the food will be a key element at the new Rosa tapas bar, like with all of its sister Zazu’s Kitchen pubs. The kitchen team will be headed by Tim Denny, formerly at The Star & Dove; with his deputy Nathan Kelly most recently pastry chef at the Pony & Trap. The idea is to retain the best of the lunch offering from the former Townhouse while introducing ‘world tapas’ – a variety of small-plate-style dishes from around the world which are mainly designed for sharing but which can also be enjoyed  as a two- or three-course lunch or dinner. Christmas menus will be both traditional and alternative, with two private dining spaces upstairs for groups from eight to 30 people.
