Local extras sought for follow-up to cult hit ‘Hundreds of Beavers’
Ryland Brickson Cole Tews, co-director of cult hit Hundreds of Beavers, came to Bristol in 2024 as a guest of the Slapstick Festival for a screening of the film at the Bristol Megascreen. He was obviously impressed by what he saw as he returns to the city next month to shoot scenes for his latest film, I Have a Bomb!, which is based on the extraordinary true story of D.B. Cooper, the alias of a daring American hijacker who got away with $200,000 in 1971 and was never caught.
The production will be in Bristol next month, shooting on a plane set, and they’re seeking enthusiastic locals as extras. The requirements are that applicants should be aged 30 to 70, with late 60s/early 70s attire encouraged. Timid types and millennials should be warned that there will be simulated turbulence, a fake shotgun and potentially some smoking on set.
Shooting days are Mon 20 & Tue 21 July, 9am to 8pm, although you may only be needed for one day. Timings are approximate and breaks with catering will be provided.
If you’re interested and available, email Keith Bailey at [email protected] by Thusday 11 June with the following info: your name, a headshot/recent photo, availability and if you have vintage clothing. The subject line of your email should be: Film Extra Volunteer. Ryland and his team will be in touch with further details if you are chosen.
