Aardman films are back on the big screen throughout the summer

By Robin Askew  Tuesday Jul 7, 2026

Fancy another chance to see those great Aardman classics on the big screen? You’re in luck! Not only are recently ennobled studio founders David Sproxton and Peter Lord taking part in a trio of events at the upcoming Cinema Rediscovered festival of cinematic gems, but Park Circus are also reissuing all the classics between July and September as part of the studio’s Aardman at 50 celebrations.

Locally, you’ll be able to catch the peerless likes of Chicken Run, Wallace and Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists! and The Shaun the Sheep Movie at the Watershed, which is screening an Aardman film every day between Monday 27 July and Wednesday 2 September.

So raise a glass (or tug a forelock) to Sir Pete and Sir Dave and prepare to dive in to the celebratory feast of fun!
