Paco Tapas due to open next week
No wonder Paco Sanchez-Iglesias looks so happy – not many people get a tapas bar named after them.
When it opens on November 17, Paco Tapas will complete a trio of waterside family-owned restaurants at The General, following in the footsteps of Casamia and Pi Shop.
Paco Tapas will serve an changing menu combining traditional tapas with personal interpretations from Michelin starred chef – and Paco’s son – Peter Sanchez-Iglesias, while also reflecting the flavours of Paco’s Spanish heritage.

Using a custom-made Robata Grill, they will specialise in fresh fish and meat cooked over a birch wood fire.
To accompany the tapas, there will be a carefully crafted sherry list, handpicked and offered by the glass or bottle or shaken into cocktails.
Peter said: “It’s always been a dream of our dad’s to bring a taste of his home to Bristol and after two years of hard work I can’t wait for this to become a reality.
“Jonray and I loved our times in Andalusia, learning from, eating and drinking with our dad. His influence is over every detail and that’s why we named it Paco – after him.”
