Bristol named UK’s coolest city
Bristol is “brimming with culture and counterculture” according to a new article which names it the UK’s coolest city.
Writing in the Sunday Times, Nick Redman says that Bristol “has always done things differently and the city makes for an exhilarating break”.
Redman also praises Bristol’s “eclectic food scene” from Michelin stars to street food, “with flavours from China to Somalia”.
Forty-eight hours spent in Bristol includes lunch at Little French in Westbury Park and Cor in Bedminster, dinner at Noah’s next to the Cumberland Basin and Clouds in St Werburgh’s, and not forgetting drinks at the Bank Tavern and the Milk Thistle in the Old City.
While not eating and drinking, Redman recommends walking tours focussed on street art and the Blitz, and trips to the M Shed and Bristol Aerospace museums.
