Stalwart (and excellent) outdoor theatre company Heartbreak Productions grace Bristol Shakespeare Festival once again, this time with the Bard’s contentious yet tender tale of sexual politics, The Taming of the Shrew is an unconventional love story staged as an electric battle between two opposites – Petruchio and Kate.

Brought to life with Heartbreak’s hallmark elements of live music, humour, and audience interaction, this outdoor adaptation explores how two people come to know each other and understand what is needed to create the “perfect” marriage.

7.30pm, £17/£12 concs. For more info, visit www.bristolshakespearefestival.org.uk/events/hbp-17
