Ready, steady, cook! Box-E on Wapping Wharf is waging a war on food waste with top chefs on Monday, July 22.
Using boxes of surplus, mystery ingredients, Bristol chefs will be creating delicious dishes to be auctioned off on the night. Among the culinary line-up is The Pony Trap’s Josh Eggleton, WokyKo’s Larkin Cen and Squeezed’s Alex Hayes.
In this one-off fundraiser, the Box-E team aims to raise awareness of local food waste charity, Fare Share. The organisation saves good-quality, in-date food from going to the incinerator; redistributing it to people who need it most.
Box-E will welcome guests at their terrace from 5.30pm, with the cooking kicking off at 6pm. Pop into Box-E to purchase a ticket, or reserve one online by messaging their team on Twitter.
