Medical engineer Dr Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) is on her first mission aboard the space shuttle Explore, alongside veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney), who’s on the verge of retirement. But a routine spacewalk ends in disaster and the duo are catapulted into space, facing doom as their oxygen runds out.
