Happy New Year Colin Burstead + Ben Wheatley Q&A

Director
Ben Wheatley
Certificate
TBA
Running Time
95 mins

Colin (Neil Maskell) hires a plush country pile for his extended family’s New Year celebrations. But he reckons without the arrival of his estranged brother David (Sam Riley) after a five year absence. The stage is set for one of those enjoyably disastrous, boozy dysfunctional family get-togethers.

Something of a left turn for Ben Wheatley after Free Fire, this pared-back drama was shot in just two weeks and benefits from a great ensemble cast that includes Joe Cole, Mark Monero, Charles Dance, Hayley Squires, Asim Chaudhry, Doon Mackichan and Bill Paterson. Wheatley and producer Andy Starke will be present for a Q&A after the Watershed’s preview screening.
