Wealthy couple Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn are somewhat alarmed when their daughter Katharine Houghton brings home a black fella whom she intends to marry. Now their liberal principles are about to be severely tested.
Tracy and Hepburn’s last film together is a landmark ishoo movie, though many accused it of playing safe by casting the great Sidney Poitier as an impeccably respectable, scrupulously polite doctor to whom no one could possibly take a dislike.
