Tonight, Bethany Black headlines. “Somehow Bethany manages to be both warm and dark, like an undersea vent but much more accessible. Actually, if you’ve ever seen the underwater ocean nature shows, you know that those things have a serious cult following, a niche audience that stay close to the source and would die without the constant issuance of heat and pure energy. That’s about as good a metaphor for Bethany and her fans as we’ll find, so we’re sticking with it. Makes sense she’s a regular at Hot Water Comedy Club in her home town of Manchester, and all over the UK.
