Launch event for new poetry and music night hosted by Tom Dewey and Chris Beale.
Each night will kick off with a spoken word showcase and close with a fantastic feature act performing music, poetry or both. The first three headliners are: Tom Sastry (10th May), Maya Blackwell (7th June) and Cathal Dowd (12th July).
The events will mix “rich sounds with stirring creativity. Whether you are a seasoned writer, budding novice or purely a fan, come and celebrate their launch night in May.
“We want to create an inclusive space to bring musicians and poets together under one roof. Tonic promotes audience/artist discussion through Q&As and is fully accessible with no steps throughout the venue and adjustable house lights to suit those with sensitive vision. We also operate a BYOB policy to give punters and performers the freedom to drink at their own budget.”
Beth Calverley aka Poetry Machine will also be on-hand to write “fresh poems for punctual punters on her beautiful typewriter”
