“Not Another Book Podcast is brutally honest, nuanced, and witty. The show is the third podcast to launch from the ShoutOut Network’s ‘Next Generation of Voices’ lineup. Hosted by BooksAndRhymes, bookshybooks and PostColonialChild, the trio want to help the publishing industry evolve and shape what future literature critics look and sound like.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

“Tomi Adeyemi is the author of Children of Blood and Bone – an epic fantasy with an eye toward the reality of contemporary racial and socioeconomic power dynamics, drawing upon African history and mythology to tell a story of characters contending with colour, status and they want to be defined in a culture of fear.

“Tomi Adeyemi is a Nigerian-American writer and creative writing coach. After graduating Harvard University with an honors degree in English literature, she received a fellowship that allowed her to study West African mythology and culture in Salvador, Brazil. When she’s not working on her novels or watching “Scandal,” she can be found blogging and teaching creative writing. @tomi_adeyemi”

Culture critic, book reviewer, and photographer, BooksAndRhymes – also known as Sarah Ozo-Irabor – is deeply vested in disrupting the status quo, and moving literary works by Black and writers of colour from the margins to the centre. She is interested in historical & contemporary fiction, essays, and the representation of self and ‘otherness’ in fiction and non-fiction.

A writer, editor, and translator from Guinea Bissau, PostcolonialChild aka Yovanka Paquete Perdigao is a new critic you’ll love to hate, but secretly agree with. Yovanka’s writing has been featured in The Guardian, Brittle Paper, AFREADA, Ozy. She is also the mastermind behind Terra Crioula, a platform that promotes Afro Lusophone literature. @postcolonialchi @NABookPodcast
