Pecha Kucha Bristol Nights Volume 3

Date: Tuesday, Sep 4 2018
Time: 7:00pm
Venue: Watershed

Return to Bristol, after a seven-year gap, for these informal and fun gatherings where creative people get together and share their ideas, works, thoughts, holiday snaps — just about anything, really — in the PechaKucha 20×20 format (a simple presentation format where you show 20 images, each for 20 seconds).

Tonight’s speakers include:

Alan Colville of Mind over Mountain who wants to show the world how exercise and the outdoors improves mental health. To get the world’s attention, two novices will bike where aeroplanes fly and higher than anyone ever. What could possibly go wrong?

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

Joe Warrior-Walker, a British/Indian artist who creates mixed media paintings that translate landscape and architectural motifs into abstract form and colour who reflects on his development as an artist thus far. In this talk Warrior-Walker reflects on his development as an artist thus far. Particularly focusing on the subconscious influences that have fed into his practice, and the importance of being true to an artistic vision as apposed to moulding oneself to fit current trends or fashion.

Traci Lewis has developed and delivered many successful environmental and sustainability change programmes – across the EU & SW England – with diverse range of people from organic farmers, Local Authorities to community groups. Traci will be talking about Catalyse Change CIC, a Bristol-based social enterprise working to inspire, empower and skill girls and young women as confident resilient changemakers. Traci will outline Catalyse Change’s new mentoring programme, how it is impacting the girls and young women they work with, as well as their future plans.

Sept 4, Watershed, 7-8.30pm, free but book in advance.
