My Bristol Favourites: Liam Wiseman

By Bristol24/7  Friday Nov 23, 2018

Liam Wiseman is the heritage engagement manager at Bristol Old Vic, where he has recently launched a set of interactive heritage interpretation and exhibitions to help explore the 252-year history of the stunning theatre. For more information, visit www.bristololdvic.org.uk/heritage.

Here are Liam’s top-five Bristol favourites:

Little Victories

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

“The team at Little Victories know how to make a great coffee, but they also have a few other tricks up their sleeve. Their rum hot chocolate is to die for, and the sweet treats on sale are just as tempting.”

M Shed

“As a history person, obviously I’m a big fan of the museums in Bristol, but M Shed is by far and away my favourite! A selection of fabulous exhibitions, and the outdoor exhibits along the harbourside are amazing during the summer.”

Tobacco Factory

“There are so many amazing theatres in Bristol, but having the Tobacco Factory on my doorstep makes it one of the ones I visit the most. It’s a great relaxed space for a drink, and the Sunday markets always have the most exciting combinations of local produce on offer.”

Balloons

“Bristol clearly has an obsession with balloons, and I’m totally here for it. Watching the hot air balloons soar across the sky makes the city feel so alive. And the Balloon Fiesta in August is simply brilliant!”

North Street

“Living in Bedminster, I’m really lucky to be right by North Street, with its huge variety of shops, bars and eating spots. It’s definitely underrated when under competition from the likes of Gloucester Road, but North Street has a charm all of its own.”
