New senior investigator in hunt for Becky
As the search for missing St George teenager Becky Watts enters its second week, Avon & Somerset Police have appointed a new senior officer to lead the investigation.
Detective superintendent Liz Tunks, head of the Major Crime Investigation Unit, has taken over from detective inspector Richard Ocone, who is now Tunks’ second in command.
Specialist search dogs from South Wales Police and officers from Wiltshire, Devon, Cornwall and Gloucestershire have now been drafted in to help in the hunt for the 16-year-old.
On Friday, the pond in St George’s Park is being searched, with nearby lakes and rivers expected to be scoured soon.
Becky has not been since the morning on Thursday, February 19 when she was at her home on Crown Hill.
