Local Bristol designer announces limited restock of popular Bridge and Balloon decorations to celebrate Mother’s Day.

By Bristol24/7  Friday Mar 18, 2022

After selling out at Christmas, local designer Rebecca, who lives in Horfield, has decided to bring out a limited restock of the iconic decorations before a new design is set to be released for Christmas 2022.

Originally made to decorate her market stall at Bristol Harbourside Christmas market four years ago, where she was selling jewellery, the hand painted glass decorations received so much attention that Rebecca decided to stop selling jewellery and concentrate on designing and growing her gift company, Other Lovely Things, specialising in hand painted decorations.

Other designs currently available include London, Burford, and Bath. As well as a new Bristol decoration, Rebecca will be launching 10 new designs later in the year -including St Ives, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Yorkshire and the Lake District.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

Rebecca designs all the artwork herself from her home studio before sending it on to her team of traditional glass blowers, who after creating the orbs, paint her designs on the inside of the glass using a technique dating back hundreds of years.

Made to be hung all year round, the decorations look stunning, hanging down from a hook in front of a sunny window or displayed on a mantelpiece. Inspiration on where and how to hang them can be found on Rebecca’s Instagram page.

You can buy the Bridge and Balloon decorations here.
