Top Bristol chef to host live cook-a-longs
Well-known Bristol chef Josh Eggleton is starting a home cook-a-long series.
The co-director of the Pony & Trap, a Michelin-starred inn just outside Bristol, will be hosting live cook-a-longs on his Instagram from Friday, June 19.
Josh, who has been leading on the Cheers Drive project, which is supplying meals to the homeless and vulnerable during the UK’s lockdown, has launched the new series after announcing that he was “technically bankrupt” as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The chef, who has been using the coronavirus crisis to reevaluate his business, is launching the Instagram series with a classic Pony & Trap dish; roasted duck breast, potato dauphinois and caramelised chicory with red wine sauce.

The dish is one of the most downloaded from the Great British Chefs collections and can be replicated with “great success” at home.
Josh and his team will hand prepare ingredient boxes of locally sourced produce, which will contain everything needed for the cook-a-long.
The box, which costs £55, will feed two and include a dessert of Chew Valley Dairy elderflower cream, marinated strawberries and herbs from the Pony & Trap garden.
Boxes can be ordered online and can be collected from The Pony & Trap onThursday, June 18 between 4pm and 6pm or can be delivered anywhere in the UK for £12
