New sushi restaurant opens
A restaurant whose food was previously only available in Bristol via Deliveroo has opened its first permanent premises in the city.
Kokoro – which in Japanese translates to heart, mind or soul – was founded in Kingston-upon-Thames in Surrey more than a decade ago and now has more than 50 locations across the UK.
“The key to success is very simple: you keep the food tasty, fresh and healthy,” says the website of Kokoro, who serve a menu whch includes curries, teriyaki, sushi, sashimi and gyoza.
Kokoro has opened on Queen’s Road between Park Street and the Clifton Triangle in what was previously Soho cafe.
It’s only a few hundred yards away from Eatchu, a Bristol business serving award-winning gyoza and other Japanese-inspired food and drink.
