Eatchu opens new restaurant

By Martin Booth  Sunday Feb 11, 2024

In just a few weeks, the team at Eatchu have transformed a former pizzeria into their first ever restaurant.

Eatchu is one of Bristol’s most popular street food traders, serving their award-winning “happy little dumplings” from St Nick’s Market and recently opening a pop-up at the Wiper & True taproom in Lawrence Hill.

Eatchu founders Guy and Vic Siddall now have a restaurant to call their own at Queen’s Road on the Clifton Triangle.

The new Eatchu has opened in what was most recently the short-lived Pizza Bianchi and was previously Rocotillos diner for almost 30 years.

Eatchu quietly opened its doors for the first time on Saturday, with all of their familiar Japanese-style food available during their soft opening which can be ordered via touch screens on the counter.

The four choices of gyoza are pork, chicken, broccoli and mushroom, with half a dozen choices of rice and noodles as additions, as well as solo rice bowls and pots.

There is also a special Eatchu beer on tap from St Anne’s brewery Lost & Grounded which will be being served soon.
