Elly Pear to publish third cookbook in 2019

By Martin Booth  Wednesday Oct 31, 2018

Plant-focused and meat-free dishes “serving up clever cooking solutions to make eating more plants easier, more adaptable and more delicious than ever” will be the focus of Elly Curshen’s third cookbook.

Elly, also known as Elly Pear after her former cafe in St Paul’s which closed in September after more than 12 years, is moving publishers for her as-yet untitled new book, from HarperCollins to Ebury.

Elly’s first book, Fast Days & Feast Days, came out in April 2016 while her second, Elly Pear’s Let’s Eat, was published in June 2018.

Ebury editor Isabel Hayman-Brown said: “Elly really understands how people cook and I don’t know anyone that makes vegan and veggie food more exciting, easy and delicious than her. I’m really excited to be working with Elly on this book and very much look forward to publication next spring.”

Elly added: “I’m chuffed to bits to be working on a third book and am delighted to be joining the incredible Ebury list at Penguin Random House, alongside so many great authors.

“I’m also very, very happy to be working alongside Isabel Hayman-Brown, who I feel has the real ability to bring out the best in me. We make a great team and I’m so excited to see this book come together.”
