Another week, another Christmas film. This time it’s the animated version of The Grinch – in 2D and 3D. Alternatively, you may prefer Steve McQueen’s lauded Widows or Nazisploitation romp Overlord.
The annual JK Rowling juggernaut is on the way too. Your first chance to see Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald comes as part of a double bill with the first film. Many cinemas are throwing their doors open just after midnight on Thursday night so keenies can prop their eyelids open to watch it before their chums. (Yes, we know 12:01am is technically Friday morning, but nobody thinks of it like that. You’d be surprised how much heated debate this has provoked at B24/7 Towers).
It’s Afrika Eye weekend too, with a packed programme of events. And if you like music docs and concerts, there’s plenty to enjoy this week from the sublime (Joan Jett) to, er, Coldplay, Bros, Simply Red and the world’s biggest boyband: Burn the Stage (nope, me neither).
