Teen Eli (newcomer Myles Truitt) finds an all-powerful weapon which he uses to save his ex-con brother (Jack Reynor) from wron ‘uns. But the duo then find themseleves pursued by federal agents and mercenaries.
Josh and Jonathan Baker‘s expansion of their short film Bag Man is an uneasy genre mash-up, veering from family drama to sci-fi action. US reviews were poor and it died at the box office. That said, there’s a strong supporting cast including Dennis Quaid, Zoe Kravitz and James Franco, and the score by Scottish rockers Mogwai may also lure in a few punters.
