You Say You Want a Revolution?
From the V&A exhibition: how the revolutions of the 1960s have affected the way we live today
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is this week’s big release, as Disney sets out to raid the wallets of superhero and kung-fu fans simultaneously.
If that doesn’t appeal, there’s plenty of music around this week too. Seventies act of the moment Sparks’ idiosyncratic musical Annette is getting an arthouse/multiplex crossover release. There are event cinema screenings of Mick Fleetwood’s celebration of guitar great Peter Green and the director’s cut of prog-metal titans Rush’s Cinema Strangiato. Jazz on a Summer’s Day and Summer of Soul also continue to do a roaring trade. And next week brings the Aretha Franklin biopic Respect.
