Rise of the Footsoldier: Origins

Director
Nick Nevern
Certificate

Running Time
106 mins

There have been three sequels to 2007’s original true-life ‘ooligans-turned-criminals flick Rise of the Footsoldier (“Repugnant” – Time Out) all of which went straight to DVD or VoD. This knucklehead origin story brings Vinnie Jones and Keith Allen on board, which is presumably why it’s being propelled into cinemas.

Set in the ravey-davey late 1980s, it promises to reveal how Falklands War veteran Tony Tucker (Terry Stone) came to be invovled in one of the UK’s most notorious gangland murders alongside Pat Tate (fellow series regular Craig Fairbrass).
