Comedy / Catherine Bohart

Standup and ‘Trusty Hogs’ podcast co-host Catherine Bohart hits the road

By Sarski Anderson  Thursday Jun 6, 2024

Catherine Bohart is a comedian and actor at the top of her game.

Self-described as the OCD “bisexual daughter to a Catholic deacon”, she first made waves with her Edinburgh Fringe debut, Immaculate in 2018, followed by the sexual confession-laden Lemon (2019) and her ‘break-up show’ from fellow comedian Sarah Keyworth, This Isn’t For You (2022).

Introduced to a much wider audience through multiple TV appearances including memorable sketches on The Mash Report (BBC Two), she has also garnered a hugely loyal following for her cult podcast Trusty Hogs, which she co-hosts with Helen Bauer.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

Bohart is now on tour with her new solo show Again, With Feelings, which has gained her rave reviews for its confessional and hilarious skewering of her “second coming-of-age”, as she explores queer reproduction and ageing, “death-obsessed” parents.

Describing herself as a “compulsive over sharer”, she admits that comedy offers her a degree of catharsis.

“Jokes help me explain myself. It’s yet to be determined as to whether or not they help me understand myself. It’s nice to be paid to tell people your secrets rather than pay for the privilege though.”

As to whether touring the show has helped her to meaningfully shape her feelings on where she finds herself in her personal life, Bohart is under no illusions. “Not at all!”, she says.

“If anything I feel like a comedy ghost haunting gays around the country with big questions I can’t answer and then getting back in my car.  I’ve eaten a lot of Greggs though so it’s not all bad.”

Catherine Bohart: Again, With Feelings is at 1532 Performing Arts Centre on June 22 at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from www.chucklebusters.com. Find out more at www.catherinebohart.com or follow @catherinebohart.
