Art / RWA Open Exhibition
Inside the RWA 172 Annual Open Exhibition
The RWA Annual Open is a chance for art enthusiasts to see a huge array of work on display from a wide mix of established and emerging artists.
2025 marks the 172nd edition of the exhibition, and as ever, every piece is for sale, with prices beginning at £100.
The art on show includes painting, drawing, sculpture, textile and embroidery, photography, architecture, and video installation.

Submissions were whittled down from thousands of entries by a panel of judges, this year comprising RWA academicians Ros Cuthbert, Anna Gillespie, Jemma Gunning, Fiona Robinson and Hamish Young alongside external selectors, artist and educator Harold Offeh, Professor Anita Taylor, and David Trigg.
For 2025, the invited artist is established British artist Maria Lalić, whose work is currently held in collections at the Tate and V&A.

As ever, there will be a range of prizes to be awarded for some of the standout pieces in the exhibition.
These accolades are conferred for exceptional painting and drawing, sculpture, watercolour, printmaking and narrative figurative painting, as well as prizes given to an emerging artist and an example of work that reflects contemporary society.
