Hidden Gallery Bristol set to launch exhibition ‘Made in Britain’

By Sarski Anderson  Tuesday Jun 6, 2023

Made in Britain is a new exhibition opening at Hidden Gallery Bristol, in the heart of Clifton, on June 10.

The gallery is linked to three others, in Brighton, Bath and London, and the Hidden group have been buying and selling rare art for three decades.

This collection of original prints – which are available to buy – features titans of the British art world from the last two centuries, including David Hockney, L.S. Lowry, Peter Blake, Bridget Riley, Henry Moore, Anthony Gormley, Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin, Banksy, David Shrigley and Grayson Perry.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

Damien Hirst, For the Love of God (2011)

Victor Pasmore, Idea for Davide (1990)

Henry Moore, Mother and Child (1974)

Alongside the exhibition, the gallery will be showing hand-signed works by many artists including Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol and Joan Miro.

Chris Kendall is the owner of Hidden Gallery. “Britain has such a rich art history that originally saw artists focus on all things British: the landscape that surrounded them and important royal and political figures,” he says.

L.S. Lowry, Street Scene (1972)

David Hockney, Untitled 778 (2011)

Grayson Perry, Gay Black Cats MC (2017)

“With transport developments, migration grew Britain into a cultural hub. Such developments played a crucial role in creating the make-up of modern and contemporary artists.

“With no defining style or movement, every British artist offers something new to the table.

“We hope that this exhibition will provide visitors with an opportunity to see and perhaps own works by some of the most iconic, famous British artists of our time.”

David Hockney, Olympische Spiele Munchen 1972 (1970)

Victor Pasmore, Idea for the Desert Sand (1992)
