North Somerset Arts prepare for biennial Members’ Exhibition
North Somerset Arts are preparing to host their biennial Members’ Exhibition at Failand Village Hall over the weekend of May 15-17.
The organisation represents over 90 local artists working in a diverse range of media, from ceramics and textiles to painting, sculpture and homemade crafts.
An array of talks and demonstrations are set to feature in the programme, and many NSA members will be on hand to present their work and discuss the inspiration behind it.

New for this year will be the People’s Choice award, in which exhibition visitors will be afforded the chance to vote for their favourite artist – with a £150 cash prize for the winner.
As well as some activities laid on for children, there will be a special Young Collectors stall, with all pieces for sale exclusively for children, and priced at under £15.

There will be work from a wide array of disciplines on show.
“We want to encourage the next generation of creatives to begin developing their own appreciation for art”, organisers say.
“Join us to support your local artists and discover the beautiful work they have to offer.” There will also be homemade cakes and refreshments to entice visitors across the weekend.
North Somerset Arts: Contemporary Art and Craft Members’ Exhibition is at Failand Village Hall on May 16-17 (open 10am-3pm Saturday, and 10am-6pm Sunday), with a preview evening on May 15 at 6-8pm. Entry is free.
