Chilli Daddy opens in St Nick’s Market

By Joshua Ward  Monday Jun 20, 2016

If you’re in Bristol, you’ll undoubtedly never hear the end of talk about Chilli Daddy, who have now opened a permanent stall in St Nick’s Market next to Ahh Toots.

Aside from the humorous name, this is for good reason: Chilli Daddy has been pleasing customers with authentic Szechuan street food for five years and now has three restaurants dotted around the city as well as its regular appearance on Wine Street on market days, and its new stall in St Nick’s.

Chilli Daddy claims to be more than just food for the hungry humans of Bristol; it’s a genuine food experience whose tricks have been learned from the founder’s grandparents, combined with the power of locally-sourced ingredients that keep punters coming back for more.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!

Back in 2011, Chilli Daddy boasted the first Szechuan street food stall in the entire United Kingdom.

Today, their expansion has led to the opening of a new shop in the Glass Arcade of St Nick’s Market. The Daddy’s relationship with St Nick’s was established when they emerged on the Bristol street food scene having a regular stall at the market five years ago.

Feeding the lunchtime rush at their opening, Chilli Daddy is rewarding their customers with 15 per off all meals this week.

Having been finalists in the BBC Food & Farming awards, and with half a decade’s worth of experience feeding the people of the south-west passionate and exotic food, Chilli Daddy seem set to last a while on the streets of Bristol.
