Indoor dining, yoga and more to return to Wapping Wharf

By Bristol24/7  Tuesday May 25, 2021

As the government’s roadmap out of lockdown is underway, Bristol’s Whapping Wharf neighbourhood is on the way back to its vibrant self.

As restrictions lift, the harbourside community is offering visitors indoor dining, yoga and much more from the many independent businesses.

Whilst Bristol is encouraging people to visit the quarter’s independent businesses this summer, there are a number of precautions in order to remain safe.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

New stretch tents were put in place on the upper levels of CARGO 1 and 2 to allow al fresco dining, whilst the Wapping Wharf Code includes a one-way system and signage to encourage people to keep their distance from one another and queue appropriately.

Stuart Hatton, managing director at Umberslade, the developer behind Wapping Wharf, said: “It’s been wonderful welcoming people back to the neighbourhood over the last few weeks and we are very much looking forward to seeing more businesses re-open and indoor dining able to resume from next week.”

“We thank everyone for the incredible support they have shown Wapping Wharf’s independent businesses so far and their collaboration in ensuring that the area is a safe and enjoyable place for everyone.”

Independent businesses all over the city have struggled throughout lockdown. This short film explores independent businesses at Wapping Wharf as they continued to adapt and collaborate through the pandemic.
