Cult pizza spot teams up with MasterChef winner
One of Bristol’s most popular independent pizza spots, Pizzarova, has teamed up with MasterChef winner and food creator Brin Pirathapan for a new limited-edition pizza.
Inspired by Brin’s debut cookbook Elevate, the collaboration reimagines one of Pizzarova’s fan favourites, the double chorizo, giving it a bold new twist.
“Pizzarova has managed to expand while remaining fiercely independent, properly encapsulating all the things that make the Bristol food scene great,” said Brin.
Founded in 2013 after co-founders Jack and Alex converted a Land Rover into a wood-fired pizza van following a trip to Glastonbury Festival, Pizzarova has grown steadily while sticking to its “fast food but better” ethos. With five sites across the city, the focus remains on quality ingredients and community.

The April special reflects that collaborative spirit at a time when the hospitality sector faces ongoing challenges. Designed to celebrate the industry, the partnership brings together two Bristol names to share their platforms and creativity.
The pizza itself is a punchy mix of spicy and sweet flavours, topped with Calabrian nduja, chorizo picante, fior di latte, creamy stracciatella, toasted fennel seed hot honey and Bristol-grown basil.
“Obviously I wanted to practise what I preach and follow the ethos behind Elevate,” Brin said.
“Taking a classic and making it more vibrant.”

“The main theme of Elevate is vibrancy – in flavour, look and feel. This has to be a book that excites people, that makes them want to cook and brightens up even the most rubbish days,” he said.
Brin, trained as a veterinary surgeon, moves seamlessly from operation theatre to kitchen galley, championing Sri Lankan cuisine and bold fusions.
