Pizza company raises funds for children facing food insecurity
A Bristol-based restaurant company has launched a campaign raising funds for children living with food insecurity.
In half term, Pizzarova will be donating £5 from every children’s meal sold to their Rova foundation.
In collaboration with local food education charity Square Food Foundation, the Rova foundation will deliver hands-on food and cookery lessons for children accessing food banks.
Pizzarova have been serving tasty sourdough pizza with locally sourced ingredients since their creation in 2013, when co-founders Jack and Alex took their Land Rover fitted with a pizza oven to Glastonbury Festival.
Currently, there are four Pizzarova restaurants in the city: Gloucester Road, Park Street, North Street and Whiteladies Road.

The team said that they are “incredibly lucky to have found our home in Bristol and are proud to be part of its vibrant food scene.”
They felt it was a time to give back to the community in the city they’ve grown to love.
“These sessions are rooted in joy, our love for good food and our local community.
“It’s an opportunity for our team to try something different, and give back in our own way.”
With their new initiative, they will provide the crew, the ingredients and the equipment to make food education accessible for every child.
