Bristol law firm raise over £4,300 for animal rescue charity

By Bristol24/7  Tuesday May 5, 2026

The award-winning law firm Barcan+Kirby has raised more than £4,300 for local animal rescue charity Bristol A.R.C following a year of fundraising across its five offices.

Staff organised a range of activities, including a paint-and-sip event, bake sales, sweepstakes, a quiz, an auction of promises and a million steps challenge.

Lucy Harttrup, chair of the charity and social committee at Barcan+Kirby, said: “It’s been a fantastic year of fundraising and I couldn’t be prouder of the enthusiasm and generosity shown by colleagues across the firm.

“From creative events to team challenges, everyone really got involved and had great fun along the way. Supporting local charities like Bristol A.R.C is hugely important to us at Barcan+Kirby, and being able to raise money that makes a real difference in our community means a great deal to us as a firm.”

Luke Mitchell, philanthropy and partnerships manager at Bristol A.R.C, added: “We are incredibly grateful for the support from all the team at Barcan+Kirby. Partnerships like this make a meaningful difference to our work.

“At a time when charities are facing increasing pressures, this support helps us continue delivering the care that animals across Bristol rely on.”

The funds will support the charity’s day-to-day operations, including animal care, veterinary treatment, fostering programmes and wider community outreach, helping more pets find new homes.
