Jimi Can and Suntou Susso
Catalonian Jimi Can may originate from Spain, but he is firmly a Bristol resident. Having first moved to the St Pauls area, he has never lost the Afro-Caribbean feeling and his music continues to reflect this. Be prepared to be taken on an around-the-world party tour. By contrast, Suntou Susso’s distinctive playing on the kora is hauntingly beautiful, as is his voice.Born in Gambia, Suntou combines the West African traditional style of his upbringing with contemporary genres.
